My top 5 Golden Girls 2015 – Golden Globes Round-up

So I find myself here at 12:30am on a Sunday night glued to E! and transfixed by not only the dresses, hair and makeup but by the bodies of some of the stars! If ever inspiration was needed to get down the gym and work on those glutes 11 days into the new year, this was it! My husband thinks I am the best wife ever rewinding the red carpet action so he too can gawp at Kate Hudson and “that” white gown (or her AMAZING bum)

It seems like only yesterday we wrote the last Golden Globe blog, fashion is something I have always been interested in. I’m not one for regularly splashing the cash (contrary to popular belief) I do love a bargain in Primark, Matalan or my all time high street, BFF New Look. But I can, and do totally appreciate the gorgeousness of a designer gown and those “Racing Snake” celebrity bodies that are privileged enough to slip into them

So, manned with a brew and the last of the Christmas Ferrero Rocher, I’m mentally crossing off my favourite celebs that the lovely Ryan Seacrest has interviewed, and wonder, where is Gwynnie??

She had decided to give the famous coloured carpet the swerve and waited for the big unveiling when she presented the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama. If you haven’t heard, Eddie Redmayne won and OMG did she look amazing when she handed over the trophy!

Gwyneth - Golden Globes - The Topiary Salon BasingstokeI had a peek on Instagram 1st thing Monday morning, and there she was the bubble gum pink, plunging neckline Michael Kors number, looking amazing in her hallway! Her hair was left loose with gorgeous beach waves and paired with a flawless complexion. Giving credit to celebrity hairdresser David Babaii in another Instagram selfie adorned with Harry Winston jewels, she looked stunning. Who needs the red carpet? Not this Goop gal.Kate Hudson - Golden Globes - The Topiary Salon

So Kate Hudson. All I can say is that at 35 she gets hotter every year. Opting for her all time  favourite designer, this Versace gown fits her body like a glove! Proving that she is a real woman and mum, she couldn’t resist posting a photo online of her former fiancé Matt Bellam and their son dressed as Spiderman before heading out to the ceremony. Her hair was simply pulled back allowing the dress to do all the talking. Ryan Seacreast prompted the “Glam-Cam” to do its work, and showed us this beautiful gown up-close in detail. Her workout gear, Fabletics will be flying off the shelves if this is what we can look like if we follow suit!

Dame Helen Mirren looked as glamorous as ever, in a beautiful embellished Dolce & Gabbana gown, but it was her accessory that stood out the most. Paying tribute to the victims in the Charlie Hebdo tragedy, the Hundred-Foot Journey actress paid her respects to the editors and cartoonists killed in Paris last week. Her hair, freshly coloured and cut looked full of life and tucked perfectly behind her ears.

Emma Stone - Golden Globes - Topiary Salon BasingstokeEmma Stone went against red carpet tradition and looked super stylish in an awesome Lanvin jumpsuit. The beautiful red-head swished the gorgeous bustle at the glam-cam, just showing that you don’t necessarily need a side-splitting gown or trailing fabric to win the style awards!

image[4]Unlike 45-year-old beauty, Jennifer Lopez, who presented Best Actor and Fashion Finder awards. (Jeremy Renner is one cheeky chappie, quipping her about her “globes” just as she revealed the winner.) Who turned heads in a shimmering, silver Zuhair Murad dress that hugged her latino curves with a daring, thigh-high slit up the middle. Trailing behind her, a cape! One of this seasons hottest trends!

Right then, (grabs kitchen scissors) where’s that bed sheet?
