Our Kingsclere road salon has moved! The team now work at the Old Basing salon which is just 2.8 miles down the road from the Old Basing salon.
Old Basing
Where is it?
Situated on The Street in the oldest part of the village. Conveniently placed between the two village pubs.
How much do you charge?
Our hair prices are the same over both salons. We have Junior, Senior, Principle and Director levels available.
Can I book online? Yes, your online account is linked to both salons. We have an easy to use app free to use on Apple store and google play. Simply select which salon you wish to visit and the service you require.
What beauty treatments do you do?
FLAT5 is an amazing beauty retreat offering many beauty services. You can find the full menu in our Beauty section.
Do I have to pay for parking or are there parking restrictions?
No. There is free, unrestricted parking right outside our front door.
Do you have disabled access?
unfortunately there is a step to get into our salon, and Flat5 is on the 1st floor. We are pleased that at our sister salon, we have full, permanent disabled assess.
When are you open?
You can find our full opening times on our Old Basing section but we offer late evening appointments Wednesday & Thursday
I love Kevin Murphy products, do you sell them?
Old Basing is a proud KEVIN.MURPHY session salon! We use only this range and sell these products.

Yup, we sell that too. Pop in and we will be happy to help.

Yup, all available to book online.
I’ve changed my mind about the treatment I want. Can you accommodate me?
If we have time or if its not too dissimilar to your original booking (cost and time), we’ll try our best.
I cant make my appointment, will you charge me a cancellation fee?
Unfortunately we struggle to fill last minute cancellations resulting in loss of revenue which ultimately impacts our staff. We have a 48 hour cancelation policy. Less that 48hours notice an we will charge you the full price of your cancelled or missed service.

Help! The app doesn’t seem to recognise me any more.
We had a bit on an issue, but its easily fixed. Simply log out and then register new account. Use your old email address but enter a different password. Hey Presto!
I was given a Topiary Treatcard when I visited last. What benefits does this give me?
Each time you visit either salon, every service will give you a certain amount of points. Points mean prizes!! Well, money off services anyway. Just ask when you check in or when we are taking your bill to see your total points? Our team are pretty good at prompting you to redeem them, especially on a larger bill.
Hair & Beauty skin patch tests. Do I need one?
If you haven’t had the service you are booking for then yes, absolutely. If it's been a year since you last had it done, then it's a good idea. Please make sure you have a skin test at least 48 prior to your service.
Do you have a walk-in service?
We are pretty busy over all departments, but if you are passing then do pop in. But it is preferable to book to avoid disappointment.
Do you do concessions?
Yes. Our Stylists and Senior team give 20% (hair & beauty) and Principal, Director and Master team give 10% on Tuesdays to OAPs 10% (just hair services) to full time student and under 16’s with a NUS card with our Stylists and Senior team.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes! The perfect gift for any occasion. Just pop in to any of our salons to purchase. You can redeem at either salon and we have long expiry dates on our vouchers too! Bonus.

I loved my service! Can I leave a review?
Absolutely!! We will send you an email following your visit, to check in with you. You can leave a review here, send us a selfie (you get extra Treatcard point for this), head to our Facebook page or Google to tell us and your friends about your experience.
Eeekkk i’m not sure i’m happy about my service.
If something isn’t right about your visit, then please contact us either by phone or by email, in confidence. We always want the opportunity to learn and put right anything that may of not been to your expectation. Service satisfaction. - If there is any issue with the service or treatment you received at any of our salons, then please contact us no longer than 48 hours after your service (nail appointments 5 days). After this time, judgement on rectification is void and will result in full charge if amendments are deemed necessary. If you have changed your mind regarding the cut or colour or any service or you feel that it doesn’t suit you, we are able to do another service, but at your cost.
