We are still high on cake and bubbly from our lovely birthday party on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came, sent cards and gifts. We are as proud as punch to be supported by so many awesome people. The celebrations continue into the week on Breeze FM, we have already given away £300 worth of treatments live on the air. Weddings at The Topiary

On Sunday Claire from Flawless Makeup and I chipped over to Hatch Warren Community Centre to be part of their popular Wedding Fayre. We were luck enough to have great positioning and our beautiful model, Sam was a joy to work on. We held a demonstration of our wedding services, both hair and make up and our model took part in their catwalk show wearing a gorgeous red bridesmaid gown. (Pics on our Facebook page)  It was lovely to meet so many excited brides and to discuss options available to them. We love doing wedding hair and being a part of someones special day, so now that we have found a fabulous makeup artist to work alongside we feel that we can offer a complete bridal package. Wedding preparation, with waxing, nails, tanning and establishing a routine skincare regime and on the day, we can come out of or hold an in salon service, for hair and make up for all members of the bridal party.

We have found that a lot of salons like to price “by quotation” and can leave brides feeling unsure when managing their budget. At The Topiary, we have a fixed rate for our wedding services, so our brides will always know from the 1st call to us, what we charge.

Lets be honest. No one is going to look pristine and shiny in gale force winds and torrential rain. And and our crown and glory can get all fluffy and tangled. So how can we do the school run, the Tesco shop, a quick coffee with friends without looking like we’ve been dragged through a hedge backward? You go with it. Yes thats right, you go messy! If you have short hair or a fringe then pin the front up, secure with kirby grips and spray, just pop some texturising paste through the rest of your hair. If you have a bit more length then braids are the way to go! Long and swung over the shoulders or a close braid around your hairline both would work really well. If they get a bit fluffed up and textured, then all the better.

Halloween Party at The Topiary!

Come and get spooky with us on Friday 31st October 3pm-8pm. Flawless Make-Up will be joining us for an afternoon of creating stunning ghoulish professional makeup. So if you are going to a Halloween party or joining the fun in town then why not stand out from the crowd and make an impression with one of many looks. We will of course be assisting with all your hair needs as well as providing spooky refreshments.

We gave away an entire years worth of hair cuts on Monday! Thank you for entering, sharing and liking. Its lovely to read such kind birthday messages too. Becky Lane was the name drawn from the hat, she hasn’t visited us before and apparently is in dire need of a hair rescue so it sounds like this is the perfect prize for her. We are really looking forward to getting her into our chair, and will post updates we promise.
